Reading Time: 3 minutes

Installing WordPress on a third-party hosting account manually used to be challenging affair. SimpleScripts has made this process easy. It is a one-click installer that allows developers to load the self-hosted WordPress.org blogging application on a third-party host in a matter of seconds. Almost all hosting services offer you a c-panel where you can access SimpleScripts and install WordPress with ease. It allows you to install WordPress in your root directory or sub-directory. The installation process is easy making SimpleScripts one of the most popular tools with WordPress developers.

Apart from WordPress this tool also supports other blogging tools, Wikis, Photo Galleries and many more. This makes SmallScripts a great tool to work with for any developer. Let us now take a look at how the installation procedure works in seven easy steps. One quick reminder we are assuming that your hosting service provider offers you SmallScripts in the c-panel.

Step 1 – Open SimpleScripts in your hosting account
When you are on your c-panel you will come across a SimpleScripts icon. All that you need to do is double click on the icon and the SimpleScripts’ one-click installer will get activated.

Step 2- Click WordPress link
Once the installer is activated you will come across a number of options for different applications. Find the WordPress link and click on it to open the WordPress installation page. Now you need to click on the install button and the Setup page shall open.

Step 3 – Choose The WordPress Version To Install
As you know there are many versions of the WordPress the Setup page let you choose the version of WordPress that you want to install in a dropdown menu. In most cases you will choose the latest version of the CMS unless you want to make use of some specific plugins that work only on the earlier versions of WordPress.

Step 4 – Enter the domain Name
Now we are entering the business end of the installation process and here you will need to enter the domain name of your website. All that you need to do is enter the URL in the specified box. Before you do this you will need to buy the domain name and associate it with your hosting account. Once this is done the domain will automatically show up in a drop-down where WordPress can be installed.

Step 5 – Display Link and Enter your Blog’s Title
Once you are done with entering the domain name you need to navigate to the Advanced Options in the Setup Page. As soon as you click on the Advanced Options the section will expand. Here you need to enter the title of your new blog or website in the ‘Please Give Your New Site a Name’ box. If you aren’t sure of the name as yet you can leave this empty or can change it in the future if you want to change your page title.

Step 6 – Set Up WordPress dashboard and Create Username and Password
We are almost done with the installation process and in this step all that you need to do is select the checkbox next to ‘Generate a Random Administrator Username and Password for Me’. This will create a username and password automatically. In case you prefer to create custom username and password you can do so by entering them in the text boxes.

Step 7 – Create New Database Select the Automatically Create a New Database checkbox
This is the last step in installation WordPress onto your domain using SimpleScripts. To create the new database select the checkbox next to ‘Automatically Create a New Database’ and a new database will be created for your website or blog.
