14-Day Risk-Free Trial

Fourteen days on real work,
then you decide.

Pick an eligible specialist, meet them before anything is signed, and put them on a brief from your own backlog for up to fourteen days. If it is not working, end it and pay nothing for the eligible trial hours. If it is, you continue at the rate you were quoted before the trial began.

What you get

The trial is a real engagement with a free exit: up to 14 calendar days or 80 logged working hours with a named specialist, in your tools. Stop inside the trial and eligible trial hours aren't billed; continue and they're billed at the agreed rate. The people on the trial are the people on the engagement.

How it works

From brief
to decision.

01
Start

Tell us the role

A short brief: the work, the stack or the channel, the start you need. We sign an NDA.

02
Once the brief is complete

Proposal and interview

We propose the specialist by name, with their rate, and you interview them (and, for a team, the project manager). Ask for a swap if the fit is wrong.

03
Your decision

You sign off

You confirm the scope, the payment terms and the access we need. Nothing starts before this.

04
Typically 2 to 3 business days later

The trial starts

The specialist joins your tools and your cadence and works your brief. Hours are logged and reported to you as they build.

05
Every month

Decide, then scale either way

End inside the trial and eligible trial hours aren't billed. Continue and they're billed at the agreed rate, on monthly terms that scale up or down.

Making the call

Swap, stop or continue:
the calls the trial leaves to you.

The trial exists so the decision to continue is yours, made on evidence. These are the points where you make a call, and what follows each one.

Your objections, answered

The questions buyers ask
before they say yes.

01

What if it is not working by day ten?

End it. Eligible trial hours are not billed, and the unpaid trial work remains ours, so nothing half-finished leaves with you and nothing is owed. You have lost ten days of your attention, not money.

02

Is the trial a junior while the real team waits?

No. The specialist on the trial is the specialist on the engagement. You interview them before the trial starts, by name, and you can ask for a swap before anything is signed.

03

What does 80 hours actually mean?

The trial ends at 14 calendar days or 80 logged working hours, whichever comes first. Hours are logged and reported to you during the trial, so the count is never a surprise.

04

Do we pay anything up front?

There is no deposit. If you stop inside the trial you pay nothing for the eligible trial hours. If you continue, those hours are billed at the rate agreed before the trial.

05

Who owns the work?

Your materials remain yours, and agreed ownership rights in bespoke deliverables transfer under the engagement terms and applicable payment. Unpaid trial work remains ours if you stop, which is also why nothing unfinished leaves with you.

06

Which roles qualify?

The website, store, search, paid media, social and UI/UX specialists listed below, and backend, DevOps, Django, full-stack and Node.js engineers for website and store work. Engineers and AI talent delivered by ValueCoders, AI and automation, analytics, CRO, email and marketing-automation roles start with a priced proposal instead; brand, content and video work starts with a paid pilot.

07

Is there a lock-in after the trial?

No. The engagement runs on one monthly rate and scales up or down with notice. The trial exists so that the decision to continue is yours, made on evidence.

08

How is this different from a discount?

Nothing is discounted. The rate you continue at is the rate quoted before the trial. What the trial changes is the order: you judge the person on real work first and commit second.

The terms, in full

Exactly what we promise,
in one paragraph.

For eligible managed specialists. Up to 14 calendar days or 80 logged working hours, whichever comes first. End within the trial and pay nothing for eligible trial hours. Continue beyond it and those hours are billed at the agreed rate. Unpaid trial work remains ours if you stop.
Questions

Frequently
asked.

Once we have a complete brief, we confirm when your proposal arrives, naming the specialist, and you meet them before anything is signed. Eligible work can typically start two to three business days after scope, payment and required access are confirmed.

Yours. The specialist joins your repository, your ad accounts or your design files, your stand-ups and your ticketing, so what you judge at the end is how they work inside your process, not in a sandbox of ours.

A short brief that names the work, access to the tools the work lives in, and one person on your side who can answer questions and accept the first deliverable. The NDA comes from us.

The engagement simply carries on: the trial hours are billed at the agreed rate, the monthly rate applies from there, and you scale up or down with notice. There is no second contract to negotiate.

No. The monthly rate is quoted before the trial and is the rate you continue at. The trial is not a discount and does not create one.

For eligible managed specialists. Up to 14 calendar days or 80 logged working hours, whichever comes first. End within the trial and pay nothing for eligible trial hours. Continue beyond it and those hours are billed at the agreed rate. Unpaid trial work remains ours if you stop.
