by everyone.

1. The standard

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the whole site. Every build runs an automated accessibility check on a page of each template and fails production if a page scores below the floor we set. Automated checks catch only part of the picture, so the rest is design and review discipline.

2. What is in place

• Semantic structure: one H1 per page, headings in order, landmarks for navigation, main content and footer, and a skip link to the main content as the first focusable element.
• Keyboard: every control, menu, form and dialog can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Colour and contrast: text and interactive elements meet the AA contrast ratios, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
• Motion: animations are reduced or removed when your system asks for reduced motion.
• Text: the site uses real text, scales with your browser settings, and reads correctly at 200 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling.
• Images: meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative art is hidden from assistive technology.
• Forms: every field has a visible label, errors are announced and explained in words, and the country and phone fields can be typed as well as chosen.
• Language: pages declare their language, and links say where they go rather than 'click here'.

3. Known limitations

• Embedded YouTube players use YouTube's own controls, which we do not control. Where a video appears, the surrounding text carries the point.
• The Cloudflare Turnstile bot check on forms is a third-party widget. It normally completes without interaction; if it does not, the form explains what to do and every form has an email alternative.
• Some older PDF downloads may not be tagged. Ask us and we will provide the content in an accessible format.

If any part of this site is hard to use, or you need content in another format, write to hello@pixelcrayons.com with "accessibility" in the subject line. Tell us the page and what happened. We reply within five working days and fix what we can in the next release.

5. About this statement

This statement was last reviewed on 25 September 2026 against the current build of the site. It is reviewed whenever a template changes and at least twice a year.
