PixelCrayons builds marketing sites in Webflow: design-faithful pages, CMS collections your team can edit, and clean structure for search. A senior pod ships your first working deliverable within 14 days of NDA: the design implemented exactly, content modelled so non-developers publish safely, and a fit assessment first. When a project needs product UI or complex commerce, we say so and build it as a custom web application instead. 2,500+ projects delivered since 2004. Direct for brands, white-label for agencies.

Fit check

Is Webflow

Right for you if
  • You need a marketing site: a company site, campaign pages or a content hub
  • You want the approved design to ship exactly as designed, with your team editing content, not a developer

Not the right fit if
  • You need a logged-in product interface
  • You need deep back-end integrations
  • You're running commerce beyond a simple catalogue

What a Webflow build
actually includes.

01

Design fidelity as the contract

Webflow done well means the site your users get is the site your designers approved. Spacing, type, breakpoints and states, not an approximation of them. We build from the design file with a class system disciplined enough that fidelity survives the next edit. If the design is still to be created, that's a different craft. Our web design team handles it, and we build what they sign off.

Every build
02

CMS collections your team can actually run

Webflow's CMS rewards modelling and punishes improvisation. We design collections around your real content: case studies, articles, landing pages, team, careers. References, conditional visibility and editor permissions are set up so marketers publish confidently and can't break the layout. The measure of success: your team shipping pages for months without phoning a developer.

Every build
03

Motion that serves the page

Interactions are where Webflow sites either come alive or fall over. We build animation with a performance budget: entrances and scroll effects that support the story. They're tested on mid-range phones, not studio laptops, and honour reduced-motion settings. When a marketing site feels slow, over-ambitious interactions are usually the culprit. Ours are engineered not to be.

Where it earns it
04

Structure that search engines can read

Visual tools make it easy to ship pages that look right and parse wrong. We build with semantic structure: one h1 per page, proper heading order, alt text, meta and Open Graph data, clean slugs. When a Webflow build replaces an existing site, every URL that has ever ranked gets a mapped 301 before launch. A relaunch that loses rankings is a failure however good it looks.

Every build
05

Fit assessment, first and throughout

Webflow is a superb tool for marketing sites. It's the wrong one for logged-in product screens, complex integrations and commerce beyond a simple catalogue. We tell you which side of that line your project sits on before you spend. When ambitions grow past the platform, we'll plan the graduation to a custom build rather than bending Webflow until it breaks. That honesty is the service.

Before you build
First 14 days

NDA to staged pages,
in two weeks flat.

01
Days 1 to 2

NDA signed, project walked

We sign your NDA (or ours) and walk the project together: the design's state, content inventory, current site, what launch is waiting on. No discovery fee.

02
Within 48 hrs

Proposal, itemised and priced

A written scope listing exactly what ships (pages, CMS collections, interactions, redirect map) in what order and for how much. Deliverables, not day rates.

03
Week 1

Pod assembled, build staged

Webflow specialists assigned and the project set up in your workspace, so you own it from day one. Class system agreed, first templates taking shape.

04
Day 14

First deliverable ships

Working pages on a staging domain, demoed on a call: key templates at full fidelity with the CMS behind them. From here the build runs to launch in fixed blocks of work, each ending in a demo.

How we report it, in Prism

The build log,
you can read inside Webflow.

What you receive in month one

A Webflow build is reported against the design and the content model, not a codebase. In the first month you receive the structure map, each template checked against the approved design per breakpoint, the class system named so the next editor can read it, the CMS collections with their fields and publish rights, and the publish checklist. The weekly review in Prism lists what is staged, approved or waiting on content.

  • 01Structure map: every page and template, checked against the design at each breakpoint
  • 02Class system: the naming your next editor can read without a walkthrough
  • 03CMS collections: fields, references, and who may publish to each
  • 04Publish checklist: redirects, headings, alt text and metadata verified before go-live
  • 05Weekly review in Prism: templates staged, approved, and waiting on content

Questions

Frequently
asked.

For a marketing site (company site, campaign pages, content hub) very often yes: launches are fast, the design ships faithfully, and marketing teams edit without a developer in the loop. It is not the right tool for logged-in product interfaces, sites needing deep back-end integrations, or commerce beyond a simple catalogue. Bending Webflow to those jobs produces fragile workarounds that cost more than building properly. That's when we build custom (our web development team exists for exactly the projects Webflow shouldn't carry). Telling you which side of the line you're on is the first thing we do, free, in the proposal.

Yes, that's most of the reason to hire specialists rather than dragging templates around. Spacing, typography, responsive behaviour at every breakpoint, hover and focus states, interactions: built from the design file, checked against it, with a class naming system disciplined enough that the fidelity survives future edits by your team. If your design pushes past what Webflow can express (genuinely custom canvases, unusual input behaviours) we'll flag it at proposal stage and either adapt the approach with your designer or recommend a custom build, before you've spent anything finding out.

That's the design goal of every build we ship. Content lives in CMS collections modelled around what you actually publish, editors get roles that let them write and publish without touching layout, and the page structure is protected so a rushed Tuesday-afternoon edit can't shift the grid. We hand over with a walkthrough of the editing workflows your team will really use. The measure we care about is whether you're still publishing confidently, without us, months after launch.

Then you outgrow it, and it will have been the right tool that got you there quickly, not a mistake. The part to plan for is what comes next: Webflow's code export doesn't include CMS content or interactions in a directly reusable form. So graduation means a planned migration: content exported, designs preserved, and every URL that has earned a ranking mapped to its new destination before switch-over. Because we build both sides, the same team that shipped your Webflow site plans and builds what replaces it, with no incentive to hold you on the platform a day longer than it serves you.

Genuinely faster than custom development (that's much of the platform's point) but still scoped per project rather than quoted as one number, because a five-page launch site and a fifty-template CMS build are different jobs. What's fixed is the start: an itemised proposal within 48 hours and working pages on staging within 14 days of the NDA. Focused marketing sites typically land in weeks. Larger content models and migrations, such as a WordPress to Webflow migration, take longer, and if a date is at risk you hear it early.

Yes, Webflow overflow is a natural white-label fit: the work is deadline-driven, design-led and hard to staff for in spikes. Your project tools, your client calls, our builders behind the scenes, in a workspace your agency controls. NDA-backed, with a clause signed at the start that we never approach your clients, during the engagement or after it. Your clients see your name on every deliverable. We're the Webflow development agency behind it.
