Email that sells to
the list you already own.

Email marketing that works while you sleep. Automated welcome, abandoned-checkout and win-back emails go out on their own. Customer groups mean people get messages that fit. And we make sure it all reaches the inbox. We report against sales, not opens.

What we do

PixelCrayons builds automated email flows (welcome, abandoned-checkout, win-back) and targeted campaigns on Klaviyo and similar platforms. We check your emails reach the inbox before you send more. Each email goes to the group it suits, never to everyone at once. And we report the whole channel against sales, not opens. We work direct for brands and white-label for agencies.

  1. Automated emails first, then campaignsWelcome, abandoned-checkout, browse follow-up, after-purchase and win-back flows built first, running automatically.
  2. Customer groups that get the right emailsNew subscribers, repeat buyers, at-risk and long-quiet customers each get their own messages, as often as suits them.
  3. Checks that your emails reach the inboxSender records checked, sending built up slowly, dead addresses removed and lists cleaned before you send more.

What you get
from our email work.

01

Automated emails first, then campaigns

We plan, write and build welcome, abandoned-checkout, browse follow-up, after-purchase and win-back emails that send themselves. These flows work day and night on the people most likely to buy. That's why we build them first, and campaigns come second.

First
02

Customer groups that get the right emails

A segment is a group of subscribers who behave alike. New subscribers, repeat buyers, at-risk customers and the long-quiet each get their own messages, sent as often as suits them. Nobody gets everything. Fewer people unsubscribe because the emails fit. From day one, we stop emailing everyone at once.

Ongoing
03

Checks that your emails reach the inbox

Deliverability is whether your email reaches the inbox at all. We check your sender records and build up sending slowly. We stop emailing dead addresses and clean the list on a schedule. This quiet work decides whether anything you send gets seen. We check before you send more, and keep watching after.

Klaviyo experts who also work on other platforms

Klaviyo is where our deepest experience lies: flows, segments, predictions and connections. We also work on similar platforms if you already use one. If you're moving platforms, we plan and carry out the move. You keep your history and your good name with inboxes.

Reports tied to sales

We measure every flow and campaign by orders and revenue, not opens. Apple's privacy changes made open rates unreliable years ago. A weekly report shows what email earned. A monthly review call decides what to build next.

Weekly
How it starts

From the first review to emails that run themselves,
step by step.

01
Start

Brief and access

We sign an NDA and you give us access to your email platform. Then we can see your flows, past campaigns, segments and list health.

02
Once the brief is complete

Audit and itemised proposal

We review your flows, segments, sender records and list health, and what email earns now. Then you get a priced plan of the flows worth building.

03
Your decision

You sign off

You approve the flow map and confirm the scope, the payment and the access we need. Nothing is built before this.

04
Typically 2 to 3 business days later

The work starts

We write, design and build the flows worth the most first. Inbox checks are passed before you send more.

05
Every month after

Segment, test, report

Campaigns go to the right segments and we test when and how they send. You get a weekly sales report and a monthly call on what to build next.

Inside Prism

Your engagement, week to week,
in one workspace.

Prism is the client workspace where your requests, approvals, tasks and weekly reviews live.

Some engagements include Prism, our client workspace, and your proposal says whether yours does. Where it does, marketing runs in a workspace you log into: requests, approvals, tasks and the weekly review, with the cost of each channel beside the leads it produced.

  • 01

    Requests and approvals

One queue, one owner, one due date.

  • 02

    Weekly review

Each decision recorded, with the expectation attached.

  • 03

Fully loaded. Unmeasured spend shows as unknown, never zero.

How we report it, in Prism

The programme map,
before the first send.

What you receive in month one

Email is reported against a programme you approve before anything sends. In the first month you receive the flow map with every automated sequence drawn out, the list health report covering deliverability and sender reputation, and the send calendar with owners and review dates. The weekly review in Prism attributes revenue by flow and by campaign, so the number is never a blended total.

  • 01Flow map: every automated sequence, its trigger, and its exit condition
  • 02List health report: deliverability, bounces, sender reputation, consent status
  • 03Send calendar: campaigns, owners, review and send dates
  • 04Weekly review in Prism: revenue by flow and by campaign, opens and clicks as secondary
  • 05Template checklist: rendering, links, unsubscribe and legal footer verified

After the audit

What we fix first,
based on what the audit finds.

The review of your account and list sets the order of work. These are the findings that change it, and what we do about each one.

What the audit findsWhat we doWhy
The account is all campaigns and no flowsBuild welcome, abandoned-checkout, browse, post-purchase and win-back flows first, in order of expected revenueFlows run every day on the people most likely to buy. Campaigns then add peaks on top.
Sender records are unchecked, or the sending domain is newCheck the sender records and build up sending slowly before you send moreNothing else counts if the email never reaches the inbox.
Long-dead addresses are still on the listStop emailing inactive contacts and clean the list on a scheduleDead addresses stop emails reaching inboxes. On per-contact pricing, you also pay for every one of them.
Everyone on the list gets every sendSplit new subscribers, repeat buyers, at-risk customers and the long-quiet into their own segmentsFrom day one, we stop emailing everyone at once. Emails that fit keep unsubscribes low.
Results are judged on open ratesReport every flow and campaign against orders and revenueApple's privacy changes open messages in advance, so open rates are no longer reliable.
Someone wants to buy or rent a listWe say no, and grow the list with signup offers, signup forms and subscriber settings pagesBought addresses stop your whole domain's emails reaching inboxes. In most markets we serve, they also break privacy law.

If the platform itself is holding you back, the audit says so. Most of the time, the flows and segments matter far more than which platform you use.

Questions

Frequently
asked.

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Open rates have been unreliable since Apple's privacy changes. Revenue depends on your list, offer and margins as much as on our work. We commit to the work itself: flows switched on, segments set up, inbox checks kept up and campaigns sent. We report weekly against revenue in your own platform dashboards.

Klaviyo is where our deepest skills lie, and it's our first choice for online shops. We also work in Mailchimp, Omnisend, HubSpot and Customer.io if you already use them. When a move makes sense, we keep your flows, history and good name with inboxes. The audit tells you whether your platform is holding you back. Usually the flows matter more.

Flows are automated emails set off by what someone does: they join the list, leave a checkout or go quiet. Campaigns are one-off sends to a chosen group: launches, offers, news. Flows come first because they earn every day from the people most likely to buy. Campaigns then add peaks on top.

Flow builds are usually a one-off project: audit, strategy, copy, design, build and testing. After that, you can add a monthly fee for campaigns, segments and reports. The price depends on how many flows and segments your list needs. Klaviyo or your provider bills the platform separately. Every proposal lists each item you get.

We'll grow it properly: signup offers and signup forms on your site, linked to our CRO work. Settings pages let subscribers choose what they get. We won't buy or rent lists. Bought addresses stop your emails reaching inboxes and harm your sender reputation. In most markets we serve, they also break privacy law. A smaller list of people who said yes outsells a large cold one.

Yes. Email is one of the services agencies resell most often through us. You keep your templates and client calls; our strategists, copywriters and builders do the work. It's backed by an NDA. And we don't approach the clients you introduce to us for direct business, through the work and for twelve months after the last assignment for that client ends.

The flows closest to a purchase: welcome, abandoned-checkout, browse follow-up, after-purchase and win-back. They run every day on the people most likely to buy, so they come before campaigns. We check inbox placement before you send more. Every flow is reported against orders and revenue.

The range

What it costs,
at the direct rate.

Automated flows are priced as a one-off build. Campaigns and audience groups can follow as an optional monthly programme. Single emails are priced one at a time. The platform subscription is always billed by the platform.

  • ProjectAutomated email flows build$950–$6,250fixed quote, one-time
  • RetainerMonthly email programme$625–$3,750per month
  • Per unitCampaign email, per send$175–$500per email

hiding in your list.

Send us your platform and list size and we'll come back with a free campaign review of your email. It covers which flows are missing, where deliverability is leaking, and what to build first, priced and itemised. Keep it either way.
