What we do

PixelCrayons' Google Ads service runs Search, Shopping and Performance Max to earn you revenue. We judge results by your sales rather than Google's scores. We clean search terms weekly. Performance Max must beat a Search campaign you can see. Sales tracking respects consent and is set up before budget rises. We work direct for brands and white-label for agencies.

  • Every account audited before a dollar moves
  • Search terms cleaned every week
  • PMax never graded on its own reporting alone
  • Tracking that respects consent, before budget goes up
  • Your ad accounts stay yours

What our Google Ads management
covers each month.

01

Search terms cleaned every week

Cleaning search terms is dull, but it is what makes Search profitable. We read the search-term report every week. Searches that lead to sales move into tightly themed ad groups with matching ads. We test near misses on purpose and block junk for good. Broad match is only used with these weekly checks, and it is never left to run on its own.

Weekly
02

Shopping and the feed

For online stores, the product feed is the campaign. We rewrite titles to match how buyers search and fill in missing product details. We group your products so bids follow profit, so a low-margin product and a best seller don't get the same bid. Most Shopping problems look like bidding problems but start in the feed, so we fix them there.

Per catalogue
03

Performance Max, checked against Search

Performance Max (PMax) can work well, but its reports hide a lot. You can't see where ads ran, which searches showed them or what each channel added. So we never judge it on its own report. We exclude your brand name, so it can't take credit for sales your name earned. We block bad searches across the account. A Search campaign runs alongside it, and PMax has to beat that campaign to keep its budget.

04

Tracking that respects consent, checked first

Tuning ads on broken sales data wastes money, so tracking comes first. We set up tags that respect consent, plus enhanced and server-side tracking where it fits. We import offline sales, so the account aims for revenue rather than form fills. Consent rules mean Google estimates some sales, and your report labels those as estimates. We check the setup against real sales before budget goes up.

05

Landing pages that deliver what each ad offers

Google's Quality Score and your conversion rate both depend on one thing: does the page deliver what the ad offered? Our conversion optimisation team builds and tests your landing pages. Each page matches the wording of its ad group. What we learn from page tests goes straight back into the ads and bids.

Inside Prism

Your engagement, week to week,
in one workspace.

Prism is the client workspace where your requests, approvals, tasks and weekly reviews live.

Some engagements include Prism, our client workspace, and your proposal says whether yours does. Where it does, marketing runs in a workspace you log into: requests, approvals, tasks and the weekly review, with the cost of each channel beside the leads it produced.

How we report it, in Prism

The account you can audit,
from the first week.

What you receive in month one

Google Ads is reported through the account itself, which stays in your name, and a fixed weekly sheet. In the first month you receive the search-term review with every negative added, the conversion tracking verified against a test order, and the campaign map showing which queries each ad group owns. Nothing in the report is a screenshot you cannot re-run yourself.

  • 01Conversion tracking check: each action fired on a test order, tag by tag
  • 02Campaign map: query classes, ad groups and the landing page each one sends to
  • 03Search-term review: terms kept, terms negated, and the reason for each
  • 04Weekly sheet in Prism: spend, conversions, cost per conversion, budget moves
  • 05Change log: every bid, budget and structure edit with its date

What we do around the ads

House rules

Each campaign type,
and the rule it has to meet.

Google's default settings quietly skip the weekly checks. These are the rules we set instead. They show what each campaign type has to prove to keep its budget.

Questions

Frequently
asked.

Usually both, set up so you can see what each adds. PMax reaches places Search can't. But it reports only in totals, and can quietly take credit for brand searches that would have bought anyway. So we exclude your brand and block bad searches. We also run Search alongside it as a visible test: if PMax beats it, it keeps its budget.

It depends, so test it rather than saying yes by default. Brand clicks are the cheapest. Many glowing ad reports are mostly brand visitors who would have come free through your normal listing. Good reasons to bid are rivals bidding on your name, people comparing options and control of your message. We always report brand and non-brand apart.

By cleaning search terms every week. We read the search-term report and move searches that sell into tightly themed ad groups, with matching ads and landing pages. We test near misses on purpose and block irrelevant searches across the account. Broad match with smart bidding can work in a well-tracked account, but it needs watching. It is not a plan in itself.

Accurately enough, if the setup is done properly, which is why it comes first. We set up tags that respect consent, plus enhanced and server-side tracking where it fits. We import offline or CRM sales so Google aims for revenue. Consent rules mean Google estimates some sales. So we check tracking against your real sales and label estimates as estimates.

No: ad prices, competitors, seasons and demand are outside anyone's control. We commit to the work. We check tracking, clean search terms weekly, test PMax against Search and report against revenue. Google bills media spend to you directly, never as part of our fee, and ad accounts stay in your name.

Yes. We run Google Ads under partner agencies' brands, under an NDA. You keep your report templates and client calls, and our specialists do the work. Client ad accounts stay in the client's name. We don't approach the clients you introduce for direct business, during the work or for twelve months after the last assignment for that client ends. We've served 500+ agencies.

Check whose name the ad account is in, and whether Google bills media spend to you directly. Ask how they handle the search-term report each week, what they compare Performance Max with, and whether tracking is checked against real sales before budget goes up. Judge an agency on what it commits to in writing, not on promised returns. Vague answers usually mean a vague account. A free campaign review shows how we would handle yours.
