Casadar:
a bilingual marketplace for everything that makes a home.
Casadar brings furniture, décor, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor and smart-home products together with the professionals who design and install them. We built it as a marketplace in Arabic and English, with shopping, listings, accounts and an ideas section that leads back to the products.

Casadar
Home & Interiors · Marketplace
Casadar is a bilingual marketplace for companies that deal in furniture, decoration, lighting, architecture and home design products and services. Manufacturers, galleries, showrooms, architects, interior and landscape designers and installers use it to show their projects and list what they sell.
Its customers are planning a new home or renovating one, across the Middle East. They come to browse products, find ideas and find the right professional, often in Arabic.
What had to change
- 01A catalogue covering furniture, décor, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor and smart-home products needed one clear structure.
- 02Products and the professionals who supply and install them had to sit side by side.
- 03Every page had to work in Arabic, right to left, as well as in English.
- 04Design ideas, trends and tips had to lead to products rather than away from them.
- 05Customers needed accounts, a wishlist, a cart and checkout.
The solution
One catalogue, clearly organised
A very wide range of home products is hard to browse.
Category icons for bedroom, kitchen, furniture, home office, décor, appliances and housekeeping, and one search across products, vendors, professionals and categories.
Shoppers start from a room or a need and get to the right product quickly.
Arabic and English throughout
Many customers shop in Arabic, others in English.
Both languages across the marketplace, with a mirrored right-to-left layout in Arabic and a language switch in the header.
The same marketplace, natural to read in either language.
Product pages that answer the questions
Furniture is bought on looks and on measurements.
Product pages with a gallery, a full description, dimensions, quantity, add to cart, a wishlist and similar products.
Customers have what they need to decide on one page.
Ideas that lead to products
Inspiration content often sends visitors away from the shop.
An ideas section organised by style, room and tips, with filters for style, location, budget, category and size, suggested professionals and a box to describe a project.
Browsing for ideas turns into finding products and professionals.
Accounts, cart and checkout
A marketplace has to handle both shoppers and sellers.
Registration and sign-in, a wishlist, a cart and checkout for customers, with listings for vendors and professionals.
Buying and listing happen in the same place.

The moments
we engineered
Pieces of the brief, caught mid-use on the live site.

The same marketplace, right to left
The Arabic home mirrors the whole layout: header, category icons, banners and product rows all read from the right.
What we built,
where it lives
Each point is a feature from the brief, on the real screen. Hover a point or a note to match them.

The results
One marketplace for home products and the professionals behind them
A complete experience in Arabic and in English
A catalogue organised by room and need, with search across everything
An ideas section that leads to products and professionals
Accounts, wishlist, cart and checkout for customers
What other teams can take from this
Build both languages from the start
A right-to-left layout is not a translation job at the end. Designing the mirrored layout alongside the English one keeps both natural.
Let inspiration lead somewhere
Ideas content earns its place when every post has a route to a product or a professional.
Search everything from one box
When products, vendors and professionals share one search, visitors do not need to know which kind of result they are looking for.
Why PixelCrayons

- Arabic and English builds with right-to-left layouts designed in, not added on.
- Design and development from one team.
