Truck Lenders
Financial Services · Commercial Vehicle Finance
Truck Lenders, trading as TruckLenders USA, finances new and used commercial vehicles: vans, light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, specialty and clean-energy vehicles, with a separate service for dealers. It is part of Spates Financial, whose businesses also include Subway store locations.
Its customers are business owners who need a vehicle to work, so the website has to explain the finance plainly and get an application started. After we built the site, the group asked us to run its digital marketing across its business segments, from Truck Lenders to the Subway stores.
What had to change
- 01Each kind of vehicle finance, from vans to trailers, needed its own clear page.
- 02Business owners had to be able to begin an application or ask for a quick quote from the first screen.
- 03Dealers needed their own route into the business.
- 04Once the site was live, the group needed online visibility and customer acquisition for two very different businesses: a commercial lender and a set of Subway stores.
- 05Paid and social activity had to stay consistent and relevant across those business segments.
The solution
A website for every kind of vehicle finance
trucklenders.com, which we built on WordPress, gives each line of finance its own page (commercial vans, light, medium and commercial trucks, clean-energy and specialty vehicles, and trailers) and dealers a page of their own.
The application first
The homepage opens on 'Get funded today' with a 'Begin Application' button, and a quick quote sits directly below it, so the first decision a visitor makes is the one the business needs.
PPC for Truck Lenders
We planned and ran pay-per-click advertising for Truck Lenders: campaign management, audience targeting, content promotion and ongoing optimisation.
PPC for the Subway store locations
The same team ran PPC for the group's Subway store locations, working across both business segments so each kept a presence that was consistent and relevant to its own customers.
Social media optimisation and marketing
Social media optimisation (SMO) and social media marketing (SMM) alongside the paid campaigns, so paid and organic told the same story.

The moments
we engineered
Pieces of the brief, caught mid-use on the live site.

One page per kind of vehicle
Each line of finance has its own page, and the commercial truck page splits again by the kind of truck a customer runs.
The same site,
in the hand
The application, the finance pages and the contact page, all at 390 points wide.

The results
A WordPress website for a commercial vehicle lender, with a page for each kind of finance
PPC run for Truck Lenders and for the group's Subway store locations
Social media optimisation and marketing alongside the paid campaigns
One partner for the website and the digital marketing across the group's businesses
What other teams can take from this
Advertise the site you built
A paid campaign is only as good as the page it lands on. One team for the website and the campaigns keeps the two in step.
One owner, different audiences
A lender and a restaurant franchise share an owner, not a customer. Each business segment needs campaigns that speak to its own buyers.
Keep paid and social on one message
When ads and social posts come from the same team, a customer meets the same business wherever they find it.
